okay, i know it’s not the healthiest thing, but i’m eating gummy bears for breakfast..(it’s tough when you’re wife isn’t around to make sure you eat right) i really need to start eating healthier when i’m not in the restaurant. I’m addicted to smart puffs right now and have been eating cup of noodles here and there.
So free tattoos..see below.. another burn.. and notice the bulging muscles in my hand..along with the veins popping out.. i’m jacked yo!
I had visitors last night. my old co-workers stopped in for dinner. it was so nice to see them! i miss working with those hilarious people.. stopping in everyday and chatting/gossipping about everything from work people to gossip girl. the people i have met in my past corporate jobs are some of the funniest people i know.. i miss that. it’s a completely different mentality in the kitchen.. they are great people too, but different humor. I must say, I was jealous cause i wanted to sit and eat with everyone.. they looked like they were having fun… another thing i hate about working in a kitchen, i don’t get to hang out when everyone else does… *sigh*..
anyhoo, I forgot to mention last week. I deboned rabbit! insane.. the detail that needs to go into it. The sharp knife, the headless piece of meat in front of you.. the whole thing is crazy.. but such a learning experience.. you don’t even think about what it is, you just do it. that’s the thing. Life lesson, it doesn’t matter how many things you have to do or what you are doing at the time, just start it and do it.. one thing at a time.. I used to worry about how many things i had on my to do list.. how many desserts and apps were coming in that i had to plate… the anxiety would build up so much my hands would shake.. Now i take my time (while moving my ass) and just do one thing at a time.. it all gets done one way or another.. okay.. that’s it for today..
p.s. i’m learning how to cure foie gras and make it into torchon.. what?!?!?! woohoo!
